“Astronomy is the oldest science of humanity”.
Astronomy comes from the Greek language “ἀστρονομία” meaning the science that studies the Law of Stars. Astronomy is a branch of science that deals with the study of celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole. In common terms, Astronomy is the study of everything in the universe except Earth’s atmosphere like the Moon, Sun, planets, other stars, etc.
Astronomy is quite fascinating. There are numerous facts that might attract anyone towards the cosmos. You might feel like you’re sitting still, but you’re actually flying through space very fast. That’s because Earth is carrying you like a spaceship. Early observers looking at the night sky noticed patterns in the stars. Those patterns are constellations. Sun as the major component in Solar System causes solar system is possible due to the gravity of the Sun and so on can be the general queries regarding cosmos.
Our Solar System consists of our star, the Sun, and its orbiting planets along with numerous moons, asteroids, comets, meteoroids, rocks, and dust. Our Sun is just one star among the hundreds of billions of stars in our Milky Way Galaxy. Our solar system is one of over 200 billion solar systems of the Milky Way Galaxy. Our solar system is located in the Orion Spur of the Milky Way Galaxy. A galaxy is a gravitationally bound system of stars, stellar remnants, interstellar gas, dust, celestial bodies, dark matter, etc. Our Galaxy is spiral in shape. Astronomers believe that there is a massive black hole present at the center of our galaxy. There are more than 100 billion galaxies in the universe. The universe is all of the galaxies i.e. combination of billions of them.
